SCGP Announces Strong First Nine-Month 2026 Operating Results,
Strengthens Regional Optimization and Competitiveness Across ASEAN
SCGP announced the operating results for the first nine months of 2026, with total revenue from sales of Baht 94,326 million and profit for the period of Baht 5,896 million. Profit growth from the same period of the previous year was supported by consumer packaging demand and sustained profitability improvements of operations in Indonesia. Looking ahead to the fourth quarter, packaging demand is expected to resilient as manufacturers prepare for year-end festivities. SCGP continues to optimize its regional production network across ASEAN and business transformation, alongside business expansion, to meet growing market demand and strengthen competitiveness.
Wichan Jitpukdee, Chief Executive Officer of SCG Packaging Public Company Limited or SCGP, said that the overall packaging industry faced geopolitical uncertainties during the first nine months of 2026. Demand softened during the first-quarter holiday periods in Vietnam and Indonesia before increasing in the second quarter and returning to normal levels in the third quarter. ASEAN continued to demonstrate strong growth, supported by consumption of consumer goods. However, the Middle East tension affected energy and raw material prices, while higher inflation prompted consumers to spend more cautiously.
SCGP remained focused on improving cost management efficiency, with its core customers operating in essential consumer goods industries that continued to grow. Operations in Indonesia also continued to generate profits, supported by cost management and selling price increases in line with regional market levels, alongside regional production and supply chain integration (Regional Optimization) to strengthen competitiveness and deliver solutions that meet customer needs. As a result, for the first nine months of 2026, SCGP reported total revenue from sales of Baht 94,326 million, remaining stable compared with the same period of the previous year. EBITDA amounted to Baht 15,819 million, up 25% from the same period of the previous year, and profit for the period was Baht 5,896 million, up 106% from the same period of the previous year.
For Q3/2026, SCGP reported total revenue from sales of Baht 32,577 million, up 7% from the same period of the previous year. EBITDA amounted to Baht 5,357 million, up 29% from the same period of the previous year, and profit for the period was Baht 2,026 million, up 113% from the same period of the previous year. The performance was supported by recovering consumer products demand and sustained profitability in packaging paper operations in Indonesia, amid higher raw material and energy costs.
Wichan addedthattheoverall packaging demand in Q4 is expected to remain supported by production ahead of festive celebrations from the end of the year into early next year, including New Year, Chinese New Year, Tet in Vietnam, and Hari Raya in Indonesia. Raw material and energy costs remain elevated but have become more stable, enabling better production planning and cost management. However, the year-end holiday period, household debt, inflation and persistent uncertainty may constrain consumer spending.
SCGP continues to strengthen its presence in ASEAN through investment and production network management to meet growing demand. During the first nine months of 2026, SCGP undertook a project to expand corrugated containers production capacity in the south of Vietnam by 26,800 tons per year. It also invested in a project to add a combined 400,000 tons of annual production capacity for plasterboard liner and premium linerboard in Kanchanaburi, Thailand, to serve growing regional demand, support full capacity utilization and strengthen competitiveness. In addition, SCGP invested in Jin Zhong Fa Paper Industrial Co., Ltd. (JZF), a fiber packaging manufacturer in Chonburi, Thailand, adding 28,000 tons of annual capacity to expand its Chinese customer base and serve the fruit export market. SCGP also continues to explore additional investment opportunities across ASEAN, alongside business expansion in Vietnam and India, to strengthen its market position and sustain growth.
Further advancing its sustainability efforts, SCGP has increased its alternative fuel usage to 37% and is working toward a target of 40% in 2026, while also raising its operating standards. Most recently, Siam Kraft Industry Co., Ltd. (SKIC), an SCGP company, has been certified to the new ISO 9001:2026 quality management system and ISO 14001:2026 environmental management system standards by the Management System Certification Institute (Thailand) (MASCI).
